VGSE graduate Martin Kerndler (now an assistant professor at TU Vienna) will be awarded his degree under the auspices of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria. A graduation sub auspiciis praesidentis rei publicae is a special form of doctoral graduation and the highest possible distinction for academic achievements for a doctoral degree in Austria. Only candidates who received a grade of "excellent" throughout high school, on all exams in their bachelor and master studies, as well as in their doctoral studies qualify for this award. Martin Kerndler is the only graduate receiving the award this year at the University of Vienna. Congratulations Martin!
