Volker Nocke is visiting VGSE

He teaches an intensive PhD course at VGSE in October 2018 on Anti-Trust Economics, broadly focusing on Collusion, Horizontal Mergers and Vertical Relations.

Prof. Volker Nocke is a Professor of Economics and the Chair in Microeconomics at the Department of Economics, University of Mannheim. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics. Prof. Nocke has held positions of Professor and Visiting Scholar at prestigious institutions like the University of Oxford, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is currently the co-editor of the Journal of Economic Theory, Research Associate at the National Bureau of Econimic Research (NBER), Member of the Council of the European Economic Association (EEA) and a member of the Executive Committee of the European Association For Research In Industrial Economics (EARIE). Prof. Nocke is interested in Industrial Organization, International Trade and Applied Microeconomic Theory and has authored instrumental papers in these fields.
